Neural Nectar is an interdisciplinary installation exploring the shifting relationship between humans and technology. It asks whether we still control our inventions or have begun serving them, like bees serve a hive.
The work features beeswax brain sculptures co-created by the artist and honeybees, symbolizing how AI extracts and organizes human intelligence. The sculptures are presented alongside video and robotic elements, culminating in a machine melting a honey-filled brain. Blending beekeeping and robotics, the installation questions human agency in a digital ecosystem and imagines our cognition as “nectar” fueling a higher intelligence.
